Holding bragging rights as the OLDEST and LARGEST sidewalk chalk festival in Indiana, the 2017 Sidewalk Chalk Festival hosted by First Baptise Church in Lafayette, IN brought me in for their 10th Anniversary celebration to instruct a workshop.
I started off the afternoon with a quick lecture style presentation where I went over a brief history of street art to where we are today, chalk art organizations, styles and techniques, and of course types of chalk and blending methods. Afterwards we went outside and I did some live demos with 3D art and some of the blending techniques I went over.
