Atlanta Streets Alive - Chalk Pop Up

Occasionally there is an event called Atlanta Streets Alive, several vendors and artists come together with the community to create a fun pop up style event. I got to participate with the Georgia Chalk Artist Guild and create a piece alongside other artists and people enjoying the event. Finally got a chance to chalk one of my favorites sea creatures from the Georgia Aquarium - the Weedy Sea Dragon! Some more pictures I took during the event: Our members are awesome! You can become a member too! Come to meetings, get the inside scoop on how to create amazing 2D and 3D chalk art and support events in the community. Join here: #atlanta #georgia #GACAG #stree

Parking Day in Downtown Atlanta

Had a great time a chalking at Parking Day in Downtown Atlanta! This is my modified version of a piece of art by a Josephine Wall, one of my favorite artists who granted me permission a few years back to recreate one of her other pieces. The theme of this festival was centered on earth and the environment so I thought it would be a great fit! Took about 4-6 hours. #atlanta #chalkart #streetart

10th Anniversary - Indiana Chalk Workshop

Holding bragging rights as the OLDEST and LARGEST sidewalk chalk festival in Indiana, the 2017 Sidewalk Chalk Festival hosted by First Baptise Church in Lafayette, IN brought me in for their 10th Anniversary celebration to instruct a workshop. I started off the afternoon with a quick lecture style presentation where I went over a brief history of street art to where we are today, chalk art organizations, styles and techniques, and of course types of chalk and blending methods. Afterwards we went outside and I did some live demos with 3D art and some of the blending techniques I went over. #indiana #chalkfestival #3Dchalkart #sidewalkfestival
